Lab Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Assistant to support daily laboratory operations. The successful candidate will help maintain equipment, manage inventory, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and assist faculty and researchers in various lab activities. This role is essential to ensuring that our lab environments remain safe, efficient, and conducive to high-quality research and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of chemicals, consumables, and lab supplies; assist with procurement as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce lab safety procedures, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Research Support: Assist in setting up experiments, collecting data, and performing routine tests under the guidance of faculty and researchers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inventory, and experiment logs.
- Coordination: Collaborate with lab personnel to prepare materials and support the smooth operation of lab activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
