The Faculty of Applied and Health Sciences at Parul University Goa is a center of academic and research excellence in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology and Operation Theatre Technology. Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science program enables students to conduct medical examinations which doctors use to identify patient illnesses. The program includes instruction in laboratory methods together with pathology knowledge and microbiology principles and biochemistry techniques and diagnostic evaluation methods. The students develop practical skills through their work with laboratory instruments and their study of blood and tissue sample analysis. The program suits people who want to work in healthcare diagnostics while it equips students to work in hospitals and diagnostic laboratories and research institutions.

Bachelor of Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (B.AOTT)
The B.AOTT program trains students to assist doctors during surgeries and medical procedures. The program teaches students how to manage operation theatres while operating anaesthesia equipment and providing patient care and implementing safety procedures. Students learn how to prepare operation theatres, handle medical instruments, and support anaesthetists during surgery. The program provides students with practical training and clinical experience to prepare them for professional work in hospitals and surgical centers and healthcare institutions.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology
The Ph.D. in Biotechnology program enables students to conduct their advanced studies of life systems. The program requires students to conduct research work about genetic engineering and molecular biology and biotechnology research applications. Students solve actual research challenges through experimental work that leads to new concept development. The program develops essential research and scientific thinking abilities which enable students to enter research laboratories and academic institutions and biotechnology-related fields.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have completed (a) A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8- semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree in the subject concerned, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. (b) A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. Candidates having postgraduate diploma / certificate awarded by a foreign degree / diploma/ certificate awarded by a foreign university / institute should in their own interest, obtain and submit the equivalent of their diploma / degree / certificate with Master's degree of a recognized Indian University from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. In case of candidates holding a qualifying degree from a foreign university, registration for Ph.D. will be confirmed after determination of equivalence by Parul University, Goa Campus. For Ph.D. in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary subjects, Master's degree or equivalent in any subject with 55% marks and two years of experience in the area of interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research in which admission is being sought. The qualifying degree should be recognized by the concerned Apex Bodies or any other approved and recognized Scientific Bodies of the Government of India and approved by the Academic Council / Board of Management/ Governing Body of the University for Provisional Registration for the Ph.D. Degree. Candidates who have completed their master degree in Open and Distance learning programme may be eligible as per UGC directions given from time to time.
Note: A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled, economically weaker section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time. - *Tuition Fees may vary depending on the Country/State in which the candidate has passed their qualifying examination.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology
The Ph.D. program in Chemistry conducts research and teaches advanced chemical science studies. Students conduct experiments and perform chemical analysis while developing new materials. The program teaches students about chemical reactions and their practical applications in everyday life. The program prepares students for professional work in research laboratories and educational institutions and pharmaceutical companies and chemical manufacturing facilities.
