Doctor Of Philosophy in Information Technology & Computer Science
This Ph.D. program combines Information Technology and Computer Science for advanced research. The students learn about software systems together with data technologies and computing concepts. The program focuses on solving complex digital problems through research. The graduates acquire technical skills and analytical skills which prepare them for technology teaching and research and leadership positions.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have completed (a) A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8- semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree in the subject concerned, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. (b) A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. Candidates having postgraduate diploma / certificate awarded by a foreign degree / diploma/ certificate awarded by a foreign university / institute should in their own interest, obtain and submit the equivalent of their diploma / degree / certificate with Master's degree of a recognized Indian University from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. In case of candidates holding a qualifying degree from a foreign university, registration for Ph.D. will be confirmed after determination of equivalence by Parul University, Goa Campus. For Ph.D. in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary subjects, Master's degree or equivalent in any subject with 55% marks and two years of experience in the area of interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research in which admission is being sought. Doctor Of Philosophy in Information Technology

The Ph.D. program in Computer Science and Engineering provides students with advanced research facilities that enable them to perform research in computing and technology. The students learn about algorithms and software systems and artificial intelligence and data technologies. Through its research activities, the program enables students to develop their ability to solve problems and create new solutions. The program prepares graduates to work in academic teaching positions and research organizations and advanced technological industries.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have completed (a) A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8- semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree in the subject concerned, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. (b) A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. Candidates having postgraduate diploma / certificate awarded by a foreign degree / diploma/ certificate awarded by a foreign university / institute should in their own interest, obtain and submit the equivalent of their diploma / degree / certificate with Master's degree of a recognized Indian University from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. In case of candidates holding a qualifying degree from a foreign university, registration for Ph.D. will be confirmed after determination of equivalence by Parul University, Goa Campus. For Ph.D. in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary subjects, Master's degree or equivalent in any subject with 55% marks and two years of experience in the area of interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research in which admission is being sought. The qualifying degree should be recognized by the concerned Apex Bodies or any other approved and recognized Scientific Bodies of the Government of India and approved by the Academic Council / Board of Management/ Governing Body of the University for Provisional Registration for the Ph.D. Degree. Candidates who have completed their master degree in Open and Distance learning programme may be eligible as per UGC directions given from time to time.
Note: A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled, economically weaker section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time. - *Tuition Fees may vary depending on the Country/State in which the candidate has passed their qualifying examination.
